YSR Congress MLA arrested

YSR Congress MLA Kapu Ramchandra Reddy has been arrested for violation of model code of conduct. Cops seized gift items (wall clocks, diaries, garments, bangles and other items) in huge number that were stored at his residence for distributing to the voters of his Rayadurgam constituency in Anantapur district where polls will be held on May 7th.
Cases were booked against the sitting MLA in Rayadurgam and Bellary under various sections of Representation of the People Act and IPC.
Rayadurgam Court has granted Kapu Ramchandra Reddy bail after the arrest. On his way to Bellary for attending the court, the MLA suddenly fell ill and he was rushed to the government hospital in Rayadurgam.
Before his arrest, Kapu Ramchandra Reddy alleged political opponents hav chalked out this conspiracy to defeat him in upcming polls.
