Legendary Director's Son passes away

Kailasam, who is the son of legendary filmmaker K Balachander, passed away at the age of 53. He was suffering from prolonged illness and was recently admitted at Apollo Hospital in Chennai recently.
Mr.Kailasam owns a production house 'Min Bimbangal' and he has produced several TV Programs. He is survived by wife Geetha, daughter Vilasini and Son Vishnu Bala.
K Balachander is the mentor of Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Prakash Raj. He won as many as 9 Natoinal Awards. He was a recipient of India's fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri. He made films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. He worked as screenwriter and director for around 100 feature films.
