TDP won Prakasam and Kurnool MLC polls

TDP registers big victory in Andhra Pradesh MLC polls. The party won both Kurnool MLC seat and Prakasam district MLC seat. In Kurnool district, TDP contestant Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy defeated YSRCP nominee Venkateswara Reddy with a margin of 120 votes. Silpa Chakrapani Reddy was polled 600 votes against YSRCP candidateÂ’s 474 in Kurnool MLC seat
Prakasam district TDP candidate Magunta Srinivasula Reddy was polled 711 votes.In spite of YRCP boycotting the Prakasam District MLC elections, their candidate Attla Chinna Venkat Reddy was polled 13votes. It may be noted that YSRCP boycotted the polls in protest against the alleged poaching of the party local bodyÂ’s representatives by TDP.
