As Hyderabad has been projected as a Global City, Telangana Government wishes to introduce a consumer-friendly excise policy to match its changing image.
State Government is all set to introduce a new Liquor Policy. The proposals under consideration are...
1) Business Hours of retail Liquor Shops extended to 11 PM from existing 10 PM closing time.
2) Pubs will be allowed to open till late in the midnight.
3) Permissions to world class pubs.
4) Permission to install microbreweries.
5) World-class Atmosphere.
6) Introducing Women Bartenders.
7) Introduce Wine Culture.
8) Increase in retail Liquor Shops 300 from current 194.
How many of these proposals will be approved by Chief Minister KCR? The new Liquor Policy of Telangana will come into force from July 1st
