Hyderabad based Satya Nadella have been appointed as the new CEO of Microsoft and one will definitely wonder by hearing the compensation of the new CEO
As per his new employment agreement, Nadella will be paid his salary on "semi-monthly" basis at an annual rate of USD 1.2 million (Rs. 7.5 crore).
Though he will get a base annual salary of USD 1.2 million as new CEO of Microsoft, but his overall package after taking into account bonus and stock awards may reach USD 18 million (Rs 112 crore)
Nadella's annual salary would be determined by the company's Executive Incentive Programme (EIP).
The Microsoft CEO salary comes from four different places.Nadella has a $1.2 million annual salary and heÂ’s eligible for a yearly cash bonus worth up to $3.6 million. Additionally, heÂ’ll take home an annual stock award of $13.2 million starting in 2015.
Nadella could be one of the 5 highest paid CEOs in the tech world in 2014. HeÂ’s expected to make up to $17.2 million this year and $30.4 million a year starting in 2015.The Microsoft board will take a final call on the bonus and it also depends on Nadella's and the company's performance.
So overall Nadella have chance to bag 11 crores per month for Fiscal year 2014 and 20 crores in 2015
