Sankranthi special: Battle Roosters available at OLX, Quikr

All set for the traditional cock fight games during the Sankranti festival in Andhra Pradesh. In several parts of the state, especially in coastal Andhra, the cockfight is inseparable from Sankranthi.
As the date is nearing demand was more for the battle roosters and some innovative people cashing the demand using technology.The roosters now available at online and some selling them using OLX and Quikr.
Now the participants busy buying the cocks from online and the demand was more for the roosters. The minimal price stars from 50,000 and it goes upto lakhs.These cocks were specially trained and they allot separate menu for them.
An estimated Rs.1000 crore changes hands as thousands of people watched the cockfights in the villages of East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts. The fights continue during three-day celebrations.The fights between the specially bred and trained cocks are organised in fields as thousands watch them.
