Separate High Court: Ball is in AP's Court!

Union law minister D V Sadananda Gowda made it clear creation of separate High Courts for Telugu states solely depends on the AP Government.
As per AP Reorganisation Act 2014, The existing High Court belongs to Telangana and a new High Court has to be established for Andhra Pradesh.
Nizamabad MP K Kavitha has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi to speed up the process of division of High Court between AP and Telangana. In response, The Law Minister said Centre would issue notification under the provision of the law paving way for the bifurcation once AP Government identifies a suitable location for new High Court and arrange necessary infrastructure after holding consultations with chief justice of Hyderabad High Court.
Sadananda Gowda also revealed Union Government has already sought a status report on the matter from Government of AP.
