As many as 20 Red Sandalwood Smugglers killed in an encounter with police in Seshachalam forest near Tirupati, Chittoor district. Within a radius of 1 km, The gunfights took place in two places in Chandragiri mandal.
DIG Kanta Rao reveals over 100 Smugglers launched an attack on Cops and fire has been opened in self-defence.
Reports say, Smugglers sneaked into the Forest from Tamil Nadu. The Gun Battle between Cops and Smugglers is still under way.
