12 crores burden on Lion

As the first weekend of the movie is completed, it could be noticed that Balakrishnas recent release Lion has amassed 12.06 crores from box office. That puts the film in a tight spot as it needs to collect 12 crores more to save the distributors; forget about makers.
All in all, the theatrical distribution rights of Lion are valued at 30 crores, but distributors have paid only 24 crores to the makers in advances. Now that the film has garnered a flop talk allover, it will be tough to amass the invested money. With 12.06 crores raked in, 12 more crores is at risk.
The flick anyway might collect 6 crores more if no other Telugu film poises as a threat. Otherwise it may end up as a disaster for all.
