AP Minister Wife arrested
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 April 2014 1:26 AM GMTFormer Congress Minister Parthasarathy's wife Kamala was taken into custody by Vanasthalipuram police on Thursday in connection with Rs 45 lakh unaccounted cash seized by the cops during their checkings to curb distribution of money to voters.
As Police believe the money was meant to bribe voters, They have filed an FIR making Parthasarathy as the prime accused. The names of Kamala and her attendant Shankar Rao's names were also included in the charge sheet. Soon after the arrest, Kamala was given a bail with a surety of Rs 10,000.
Parthasarathy is the YSR Congress Lok Sabha candidate for Machilipatnam.
