One more Bus caugt in fire; 35 passangers escaped

A week after the bus fire tragedy in Andhra Pradesh, a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus, with 35 passengers, caught fire in Bangalore due to an engine snag but alert crew prevented a possible mishap.Over 35 passengers travelling by a bus had a fortunate escape after the bus caught fire in Yeshwanthpur

The KSRTC bus was returning from Hassan and most of the passengers were asleep. Around 5.20 am, smoke started emanating from the rear of the bus.

Driver Mohammed Sharif, noticing the smoke, immediately stopped the bus on the road side and the conductor Rangegowda started waking passengers up. While some of them managed to get down from the doors, many more used the emergency exit windows and jumped, leaving their luggage behind.

Although the bus was destroyed in the fire, all 35 occupants, including the driver and the conductor, escaped unhurt.Some passengers reportedly lost their belongings in the fire as they got out in a hurry.
