Jagan travel record: 18 km in 5:30 hrs

YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has created a rare record by taking nearly 5:30 hours to reach his residence in Lotus Pond from Chanchalguda Central Prison which is just 18 kilometres. Chanchalguda to Lotus Pond: Nagonda Crossroads - Gandhi Bhavan - Nampalli - Assembly - Lakdi-Ka-Pool - Khairatabad - Vidyut Soudha - Taj Krishna Road - Banjara Hills Road No.1 - Nagarjuna circle - KBR Park - Jubilee Hills checkpost and Film Nagar.

Jagan walked out of jail at around 3.50 pm on Tuesday and received a rousing welcome from thousands of his supporters waiting for his arrival since his arrest on May 27th, 2012. Jagan began his journey in a bullet proof vehicle but he hardly sat in it, instead the leader greeted all of his fans by waving hands and giving that priceless smile. The 15 vehicle convoy and huge rush brought the traffic to a halt in the city during the peek hours. With passers by too showing keen interest to get a glimpse of the YSRC chief, the convoy moved at a snail pace.

Although the government thought it has provided enough security (which include a pilot, armed escort, two companies of paramilitary and APSP force) for Jagan, one can easily realize how tough it was for the cops looking at the crowds who rushed to watch the young leader. This shows Jagan's popularity and the love of Telugus towards him only multiplied in the past 16 months. It's an indication of a True Leader!
