Shankar Rao lays foundation stone for Sonia Temple

Its known that Former minister and Secunderabad cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao had announced about his plans of constructing temple to Sonia.As a token of gratitude for approving Telangana state formation, he offers to build a temple for Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Now by keeping his oath today Shankar rao has laid the foundation stone for the temple of Congress president Sonia Gandhi on her birthday.

The temple will be constructed at Nandigaon village under Kottur mandal in Mahbubnagar district in 10 acres land owned by Shankar Rao.

He said, They have decided to build the temple in the name of Mahakshetram and Sonia Gandhi Shantivanam. The statue of Sonia Gandhi would be 35-feet in height. He refused to take donations to build the temple.

“We have decided to build the temple in the name of Telangana Talli Mahakshetram and Sonia Gandhi Shantivanam,” he said.

Meanwhile , BJP opposed the temple idea for hurting sentiments of Hindus and warned they would dismantle the structure. They alleged Sonia Gandhi is responsible for suicides of 1000 students in the state.
