Telugu Desam Party kept offering leaks that it would stop the Decentralization Bill in the Legislative Council though it doesn't have the required majority in the Assembly. Much to the shock of TDP Leadership, As many as 10 MLCs had given a miss to the crucial meeting chaired by Chandrababu Naidu ahead of the Assembly Sessions. How many of these 10 MLCs will back the decision taken by the TDP Leadership to oppose the shifting of Administrative Capital from Amaravati?
Altogether, Telugu Desam Party have 23 MLAs according to the 2019 Elections result. Two of them had already revolted against the party high command. Which means, TDP's strength has fallen to 21. As per the latest reports, 5 out of 21 MLAs had given a miss to the TDLP Meeting.
TDP Leadership is unsure about how many of its MLAs and MLCs will be voting against the Decentralization Bill to be moved by the YCP Government. This is an embarrassing situation for Chandrababu Naidu who has been desperately trying to prevent the shifting of capital from Amaravati. Does Telugu Desam have Plan B?
