The concerned authorities have announced that they have found gold mines in Son Pahadi in Mahuli and Hardi village which falls under the Padrakh village panchayat in the Sonbhadra district. It's like the UP has stricken gold.

The UP government is reportedly planning to auction the gold rocks via e-tendering and a new team was also constituted for this which comprises seven members. 3500 tons of gold reserves were found in the mountainous range which is worth Rs 12 lakh crores.

By February 22, the team will submit its report after geo-tagging the entire region to the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Lucknow.



The reports of the Geological Survey of India and Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Geology and Mining stated that 2943.6 tonnes and 646.16 tonnes were found in Son Pahadi and Hardi village area respectively.

"Demarcation will be followed by e-tendering for awarding mining contracts and them mining will commence," a member of the team said.
