40 Percent Of The Public Planning To Shift From Delhi, Says A Study

With the bursting of crackers on Diwali and the stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana has made the air quality worse ever in Delhi. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has blamed Punjab and Haryana states for causing air pollution. To make the conditions under control Kejriwal government has ordered the schools to shut down till the 5th of November and issued face masks to school students. The Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached the all-time highest 1000 mark in Delhi reportedly.
If the reports of a survey are to be believed, almost 40 percent of the public living in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) is reportedly ready to shift to other places. 16 percent public said that they opt to move to other places while the pollution is high.
The outcome of the survey has resulted in some interesting results. More than 17 thousand people have participated in this survey. 31 percent of the public said that they will stay there in spite of huge pollution using air purifiers and face masks. The survey was conducted by Local Circles.
16 percent of the public said that they will move out of Delhi when the pollution becomes fatal and will return when the situation gets normal. Interestingly, 13 percent of them made it clear that they don't have any option other than staying there.
Due to the air pollution, almost 13 percent of the public were hospitalized and 29 percent have consulted doctors for their health issues.

'At 11 am sensor after sensor across the NCR and Haryana is maxing out at 999. Stay indoors. Use a mask or sit next to an air purifier if you are lucky enough to have one. Pray for those who are homeless,' read his Tweet.
