54 Students at Sainik School in Haryana test Covid-19 positive

In a shocking turn of events, more than 50 students at a school have come in contact with the novel Coronavirus, which forced the school authorities to suspend the classes until further notice, media reports climbed.

The shocking incident took place in the Karnal region in Haryana. Three students of Kunjpura's Sainik School tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. Following this, the authorities of the school have sent the samples of students and staff members for testing.

The test results have declared no less than 54 students as Covid-19 positive. After the fresh infections were detected, the authorities have declared the Sainik School and hostels as containment zone reportedly.

The Haryana government permitted Classes 3 to 5 to reopen from February 24 and the regular classes were started on Monday this week. The fresh infections were detected days after the classes were started.

On the other hand, Haryana added not less than 166 fresh Coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours taking the total toll of the infections in the state to 270,950. With two fresh infections, the state's Covid-19 fatality count rose to 3,050
