Cyberabad Police registered 38 cases and arrested 70 people in connection with the multi-level marketing scam using the brand name QNet.

Several Cases were booked against Vihaan Direct Selling Pvt Ltd (QNet) and its Promoters in various police stations under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. Notices were served to Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Boman Irani, Pooja Hegde, Jackie Shroff, Vivek Oberoi and Allu Sirish for associating with QNet. SRK, Anil and Boman Irani made their Lawyers respond to the notices. Rest of the Celebs are yet to respond.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said Vihaan Direct Selling Pvt Ltd (QNet), which is a part of QI Group in India, cheated people through the multi-level marketing scam. 'The target of Gold Quest was software professionals, unemployed youth and homemakers since 2001. In 2008, It was re-launched with a new brand name QNet. Rs 2.7 crore were seized in the Bengaluru Office after multiple complaints were registered. People should neither join QNET nor make any payments to Vihaan. Lookout Notices were issued against 12 Directors and Promoters of QNet,' he informed.

Directors of QNet misused crores of investors money in the past decade. Few Tollywood Celebs seems to have been involved in the Rs 500 crore QNet Scam. This isn't a good sign for the Telugu Film Industry which is recovering from the drug scandal episode.
