743 TTD Employees Tested Positive And 5 Died With Virus

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal said that 743 employees at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) have been diagnosed with coronavirus so far.
Singhal told media after the Dial Your EO program on Sunday that 743 TTD employees have been infected with the corona so far, nearly 400 of whom have been diagnosed with the pandemic and discharged from various hospitals in the city. A further 338 people are being treated at Covid centres. He also said that five TTD employees were died along with Covid-19.
On the conduct of annual Brahmotsavam in September, he said the TTD board which will meet this month-end will take the call on the conduct of the fete.
He clarified that none of the priests had discussed with them to stop the Brahmotsavam and also said that the board will respond seriously to any advice they may receive. Most of the priests who have been tested positive so far have cured and attending back to the duties.
On the other hand, TTD had netted Rs 20.66 crore through Hundi offerings in July which includes Rs 16.69 crore as cash offerings in the Hundi in Tirumala temple and Rs 3.92 crore through e-hundi that is offering through electronic fund transfer.
