Pandemic Dairies: A lawyer Becomes Victim Of High Prices Charged By Private Hospital

Ever since the ongoing pandemic hit the country the inhuman practices followed by the private hospitals and the high prices charged by them to treat the pandemic patients have been surfacing inculcating fear in the public.
A recent incident took place in Hyderabad where a lawyer registered a complaint with the cops stating that a private hospital admitted him to the pandemic ward though he tested negative for the virus and alleged that the hospital charged a huge amount for the treatment.
According to some media reports, 55-year-old Sridhar Singh who hails from the Vijay Nagar Colony in Hyderabad was admitted to the Deccan Hospital on the 28th of July. Sridhar Singh who is a lawyer by profession developed symptoms of fever and admitted to the hospital by himself.
However, he alleged that the pandemic test reports declared him negative for the virus but the hospital charged between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh in the name of treatment without telling him that he tested negative.
He found fault with the hospital for not discharging him till the bill amount is not cleared. Going by his complaint, the cops started investigating the case.
