ACBs Massive Raids Spread Panic Among The Corupt

In a massive and unprecedented action, the Anti Corruption Bureau conducted widespread raids on over 20 mandal revenue offices on Friday. The ACB officials searched the offices and examined the records. They also enquired about the services available to the general public.

The offices raided are the revenue offices in Vadamalapet of Chittoor district, Chintalapudi in West Godavari, Avanigadda and Totla Valluru in Krishna district, Nadendla, Bhattiprolu, Macharla in Guntur district, Peddapuram and Pedapudi in East Godavari, Ponnaluru in Prakasam, Etcherla and Kothur in Srikakulam, Vepada in Vizianagaram, Bheemi and Sabbavaram in Vizag, Sullurpet and Kavali in Nellore district, Brahmamgari Matham in Kadapa, Mudigubba in Anantapuram and Kalluru in Kurnool disitrict. The police recovered huge amount unaccounted money from these offices and enquired about the delay in taking action of various petitions.

The raids were conducted under the orders of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. ACB's newly appointed director general PSR Anjaneyulu led the raids. On January 10, the ACB had conducted raids in several sub-registrar offices across the state. The ACB has also set up a toll free number (14400) to enable the people to lodge their complaints about the corruption in the government offices.
