The capital city issue is a burning issue in Andhra Pradesh. No one can assure where the capital city will come. While the Amaravati farmers are fighting for the sole capital and the High Court of Andhra Pradesh gave a verdict in this favour, the Andhra Pradesh government has other plans.

Adding a big twist to the tale, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a big statement that the capital city will come to the shore city Vizag and he will be moving there soon. Having said that he urged the business tycoons and investors also to come there.

His comments created a sensation in Andhra Pradesh as the government has been saying that it will develop three capitals. But the Chief Minister took a big turn and said that Vizag will be the capital of the state. This did not go well with the Andhra Pradesh wing of the BJP.

Somu Veerraju, chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party for Andhra Pradesh state blasted the Andhra Pradesh government. Taking the old comments of Jagan when he was in the opposition, the BJP chief asked why Jagan changed his statements.

Back when Jagan was in opposition, he supported the idea to have Amaravati as the capital city. Not just that, he even said that he will construct a house in Amaravati. But he did not take much time in changing his statement and stand after coming to power.

Somu Veerraju pointed out this and asked why Jagan changed his mind. He made it clear that BJP supports Amaravati as the capital and said the Centre allotted more than Rs 2,500 crores for the development of the capital city.
