People in Andhra Pradesh are mad over films and they celebrate the film release like a festival. Crackers will be burst and huge flexies and cutouts will be set up outside the theatres. The Hungama and buzz around the special shows and benefit shows will be par away.

The rates for the benefits shows will be very high compared to the normal prices. The rates will be in thousands. Fans won’t think much about the ticket prices as they get to see the film beforehand. However, the benefit shows were canceled in 2020 due to Covid.

When the theatres were released post-Covid first wave, the Andhra Pradesh government had refused to permit the benefit shows for Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film Vakeel Saab. The issue had reached the High Court too. Now the government is taking forward the decision to cancel the benefit show system entirely.

Film producer C.Kalyan, who bankrolls films under his CK Entertainments Private Limited said that the benefit shows will be stopped in the state as the taxes that are meant to be paid to the government are not paid for the government.

During the meeting that took place between Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani and film industry representatives, C. Kalyan told Nani that producers use posters saying that their films collected 200 and 500 crores collections so that it encourages the people to visit the theatres to not miss the films.
