The three-judge constitutional bench of the High Court, which heard petitions files challenging the three capitals bill shocked the Andhra Pradesh government and issued stay orders in this regard.

With the lawyers representing the AP government asking ten days time to file a counter-affidavit in this regard, the High Court ordered Status quo till the government files counter-petition.

The latest development in the much talked about three capitals took place with the farmers of the Amaravati region knocking the doors of the High Court opposing the capital shifting.

On the 31st of July, Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan gave his nod for three crucial bills- The AP Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of all Regions Bill-2020 and APCRDA (Repeal) Bill -2020
