Khushbu Sundar expressed her disappointment over PM Narendra Modi not extending invitation to the Southern Film Industry for 'Change Within Meet' hosted by him at his residence to mark Mahatma Gandhi's 150th Birth Anniversary. 'With all due respects to all those who met our Honorable PM Narendra Modi ji last eve on behalf of Indian cinema, would like to remind @PMOIndia that Hindi films alone do not represent or contribute to the economy of this country. South Indian cinema is the largest contributor,' he said.
The Actress-cum-Politician questioned, 'Why was South Industry not invited and why this inequality?'. She stressed that South Indian Cinema represents the country globally, The best of talent comes from South India and India's biggest Superstars come from South India.
Lastly, Khushbu told she would really appreciate if her pioneers and peers who made South Indian Cinema a pride of the country are invited and offered due respect. 'Expecting PMO to look into it,' she added.
Upasana started the debate by questioning why PM's interactive session was limited to Hindi Celebs. And now, It has come to a stage that most of the South Indians feel they were neglected.
