There will be no exaggeration to say there is no section of people who were not affected by the decisions taken by the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Now the union government had focused on the Indian Railway for hiking the prices. The platform ticket fares will be increased in all the Railway Stations across the nation.

The Indian Railways in its new notification had announced that the price of the platform tickets has been hiked to Rs 30 from the existing Rs 10. The ticket fare of local trains and Metro has also been increased.

The Railway passengers faced a shock with the hike in fares a month after the Railways announced the increase of ticket prices for the short-distance passenger trains in February

To everyone's surprise, Indian Railways backed the move and said the fare hike will be a temporary system, and the decision was taken only to discourage people from gathering in large numbers at the Railway Stations. After Petrol, Gas Cylinders, Oil prices, and other commodities now it's the turn of Indian Railways to witness a hike in prices.

The Indian Railways in January had announced a hike in fares, which came into effect from 1 January 2021. The hike applies to ordinary non-AC, and other services barring the suburban trains.
