Ahead Of England Series, Two Indian Players Test Covid Positive!

Ahead of the much-awaited Test series with the English team, team India suffered a major setback with two players reportedly testing positive for the novel Coronavirus.



It has been widely reported that one player had managed to recover from the virus, while the other player is still undergoing treatment. The recovered player is in quarantine facility currently and will undergo another Covid test before the test series.

The infected player has been sent to a quarantine facility by the officials, while the players, who are said to be in contact with the infected player, were shifted to other facility reportedly.

Media reports claim that the two infected players will not join team India, which will be reaching Durham for playing the warm up matches.

The test series will start from August 4th. Before locking horns with the English team, India will play practice matches.

Earlier, as many as seven players in the England national team were tested positive for the virus. Following this, the ECB announced a fresh team for the series against Pakistan and Ben Stokes was made the capitan. England has won the ODI series 3-0.
