Tension gripped Patna city in Bihar after an airport manager was shot dead on Tuesday outside his residence. The incident has sent shocking waves across the country.

According to the media reports, Rupesh Kumar, who serves as a manager at the IndiGo airport was shot by a group of bike-borne men, when he was on his way to his residence.

When the airport manager reached his colony gate on Tuesday evening, the unidentified men opened fire at him and reportedly shot six rounds of bullets.

By the time, the cops reached the spot after receiving information, Rupesh Kumar was lying in his car grievously injured due to the gun firing. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Sadly, the doctors declared him brought dead.

IndiGo airlines issued a statement on the sad news of losing an employee and said, they will provide all the support to the family of the IndiGo airport manager.

As a sudden twist, the opposition has slammed the government and alleged that State-protected criminals are behind the crime and even claimed that Bihar is in the hands of criminals.

In a tweet made in Hindi, he claimed that airport manager Rupesh Kumar was killed by state-protected criminals and called Rupesh Kumar, a man of friendly and affable nature.
