All But One MLAs Abandon District During Covid Wave II
X
Undivided Nizamabad district is facing a strange situation. All except one MLA are confined to Hyderabad as Second Wave of Corona is wreaking havoc in the district. The MLAs are rarely conducting review meetings through mobile phones and are staying put in Hyderabad. As a result, the district administration is left to deal with the situation and the people are forced to fend for themselves.

Except Jukkal MLA Hanmanth Shinde, all other MLAs are in the safe confines of Hyderabad. Bodhan MLA Shakil himself is Covid positive and has lost his father to Covid. His wife is providing food and other relief material to the needy. Nizamabad urban MLA Ganesh Gupta, Armoor MLA Jeevan Reddy, Balconda's Prashant Reddy, Bajireddy Govardhan and Gampa Govardhan are limited to Hyderabad. They are trying to take stock of the situation through phone calls. At least three MLAs have not even opened camp offices to take care of the people during the second wave.

Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy was till recently busy with the Nagarjunasagar byelections. He had campaigned vigorously and monitored the electioneering as per the orders of KCR. He is now back from Nagarjunasagar, but is said to be confined to Hyderabad alone.
