The saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party might be in power at the centre. But it is not in a good position in one of the Telugu states Andhra Pradesh. No matter how hard the party is trying, there is no growth in the party's strength in the state. Moreover, the controversial decisions taken by the union government are working against the Andhra Pradesh wing of the BJP.
On top of this, the alleged friendship between Bharatiya Janata Party and the ruling party in the state YSRCP is also working against the saffron party. On many occasions, the alleged friendship between the two parties was highlighted. The recent Presidential polls is a good example.
Even before the BJP asked for support, the YSRCP extended its support to BJP candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential polls. Not just that, whenever the BJP tables any bill in the house, the YSRCP wholeheartedly extended its support. Not just support, YSRCP is not raising its voice for the interests of the state.
The popular opinion about the alleged friendship between YSRCP and BJP was voiced by an elderly man. Surprisingly, an old man openly said that YSRCP and BJP are friends. He made these comments in front of Somu Veerraju, chief of the Bharatiya Janata Party for Andhra Pradesh.
Somu Veerraju participated in the 'Manam - Mana Amaravati' program which was started by the BJP to meet the people in the Amaravati region. The intention behind starting the campaign was to meet the public and target the ruling YSRCP.
The Amaravati Padayatra gave an embarrassing experience to Somu Veerraju. During his padayatra, Somu Veerraju spoke to a couple of old men. As a big shock to Veerraju, the old men said that both parties are friends.
Not just that, the old men even accused both parties of destroying Andhra Pradesh. The old men dubbed Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Somu Veerraju as accomplices.
The Chief of the Andhra Pradesh wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who was stunned by the reaction of the old men left the scene without any option. The video of old men shocking the BJP chief is now doing the rounds.
