Things are not going well with the tech employees as the big companies are laying off employees for various reasons. Be it for moonlighting policy or using fake certificates or reducing the extra workforce the giants are on a spree of removing the employees in the tech space making them unemployed.
The latest news is that e-commerce giant Amazon is in plans to lay off around 10,000 employees working in corporate and technology fields. The process will get into effect this week as per the reports. The majority of jobs would be from voice-assistant Alexa, retail division, and human resources department.
Earlier reports said that the sales during the special season were slow. Usually, Amazon sale seasons generate big profits, and customers across the globe show interest in making purchases. But the same was not the case this time and the Amazon administration wanted to act on this and remove a few employees from their jobs.
Amazon briefly halted the hiring process and said the employees will north be hired until further notice as per the reports. Now the tech giant wants to remove around 10,000 employees working in various domains.
It is known that big companies like Meta, parent of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, Accenture, and Cognizant have announced job cuts. For the past few days, it has been reported that Twitter wants to remove over 4,000 contract employees.
Now it is the turn of Amazon to sack the employees allegedly. Employees working in various domains of the tech giant might be sacked as part of the efforts made by the administration to address the slow sales.
