He said the fine for not wearing a face mask was hiked to Rs 2,000 from the existing fine amount of Rs 500, as a bid to see that everyone in the union territory follows Covid-19 protocols.

Talking about the Covid-19 facilities, the Chief Minister said, the percentage of non-ICU beds for the pandemic patients in the private hospitals will be increased to 60 percent from 50 percent.

Arvind Kejriwal made it clear that he is not against the Chhath Puja celebrations, but the celebrations at the public places were banned given the prevailing pandemic situations.

In the all-party meeting, he chaired today, Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the leaders of other parties to set the politics aside and urged them to distribute the face masks to people.
