As the confusion over the severity of Rohit Sharma’s hamstring injury continues, the opener has reached the National Cricket Academy to start his fitness training, reports claimed.
The selection panel of the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) led by Sunil Joshi announced Rohit Sharma less squad of 32 players for the Aussies tour, which is India’s first tour after the Covid-19 outbreak.
However, the selector panel has named Rohit for the longest format in the revised squad after he came to play two matches in the recently held IPL even after his injury.
His injury became a debatable issue after several former Indian players criticized the way BCCI dealt with Rohit Sharma. Dilip Vengsarkar took a step ahead and asked will BCCi takes action against Rohit Sharma for coming out to bat even after developing an injury.
Despite BCCI President Sourav Ganguly announcing Rohit is only 70 percent fit, he played the final match against Delhi Capitals in IPL and scored 68 runs. His knock made the run chase even easy.
