Tension gripped the Punjab state for the past few days. The developments in the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) ruled state became a big topic in the nation. Usually, we hear stories of the internet getting suspended in Jammu and Kashmir. But Punjab also saw that internet suspension as the Police started a massive hunt.

Punjab almost came to a standstill with the intense manhunt to nab Amritpal Singh, the controversial Khalistan leader. It is said that he was chased by the Punjab Police and almost got arrested. The Cops started an intense search to arrest him. Dozens of his aides are arrested.

The Punjab Police is said to have arrested four aides of the Khalistani leader and were slapped with National Security Act (NSA). The Police Department is not leaving any stone unturned to nab the leader and people associated with him. The Internet suspension was extended till Tuesday.

Looking at the intense manhunt, Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh entered Day 3, and his uncle and driver surrendered before the police as per the reports. It is said that the officers are trying to get information about Singh from the two.

The Punjab Police started a crackdown on the controversial 'Waris Punjab De', a controversial outfit that bats for the Khalistan movement. More than 100 people were arrested as of now and the search is underway to nab the chief of the outfit.

The Khalistan movement which almost got irrelevant saw a big push recently. Not just in Punjab, the protests are on a rise in other countries like Canada, the United Kingdom, and others. The Khalistan sympathizers are attacking Indians and vandalizing temples. They have written anti-India and anti-Hindu graffiti on the walls of Hindu temples in Canada.

Compared to others, 'Waris Punjab De' is posing a big threat. A few weeks back, the outfit said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on its hit list and he would face the same fate as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi met.

Earlier, the Khalistan supporters created a sensation in Punjab after a leader was arrested in Punjab. They barged into the Police Station in hundreds and created a law and order issue.
