One time... One more time... One last time

AP's politics are now interestingly poised. It's still two years away from the election, but the political heat has already picked up momentum. All the major parties are huffing and puffing to come to power. Interestingly, one wants power one more time. The other wants power for at least one time. Yet another wants power for the last time.
No marks for guessing. The first one is YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been in power and wants the people to elect him one more time. The second is Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. He is asking the people to make him the chief minister one time. The Jana Sena wants the people to give them a chance.
The third one is Chandrababu Naidu. He appears desperate to come back to power. In a very significant statement the other day, he said he wants power one last time. "If I am defeated in 2024, that would be my last election," he said. This clearly is not just an emotional appeal. Chandrababu is already about 70 years of age and though fit, may not be able to fight another election after 2024.
The YSRCP's passport for another go at power is the Gadapa Gadapaku programme, which appears to be going on well. Chandrababu desperately wants an alliance with both Jana Sena and the BJP to enjoy one last stint in power. Let's wait and see whose time it is going to be in 2024.
