Andhra Pradesh Reported 1608 Fresh Infections

In a shocking development, Andhra Pradesh reported the highest surge of single day cases as 1608 fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours taking the toll of the total infections to 25422.
The data provided by the health bulletin states that as many as 21,020 samples were tested and 1608 people were found positive for the respiratory disease. With 15 fresh casualties, the total fatalities in the state zoomed to 292.
Out of the new cases, 1576 cases were of locals while 32 Returnees of other states contacted the virus.
On a brighter note, 981 people managed to recover from the virus in the 24 hours and the total recoveries in the state mounted to 13,194, while the active cases stood at 11,936.
Looking at the pandemic tests, so far, more than 11 lakhs tests were conducted in the state. The data reveals that as of now, 11,15,635 samples were tested for the virus.
