As a major sigh of relief to the students who will appear for the Intermediate exams in Andhra Pradesh, the government has announced that the exams were postponed.
Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said the exams were postponed respecting the suggestions given by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in this regard earlier.
"The Intermediate exams were postponed. The exams will be conducted once the Covid-19 situation gets under control. The update schedule of the exams will be announced soon," Adimulapu Suresh said.
Adding further, the state Education Minister said that the decision taken by the government in the exams row will be informed to the High Court on Monday.
It has to be noted that, earlier, the Andhra Pradesh High Court urged the state government to rethink on Class 10 and Inter exams as the Covid-19 cases are going up rapidly.
However, there is no clarity on the Class 10 exams, whether the exams will be conducted as per the schedule or postponed.
