As a bid to see that Indian players won't get exhausted with the long tour, the BCCI had announced that after the World Test Championship, the players will get a break for three weeks before the Test series with England.

The much-awaited World Test Championship series between India and New Zealand will be played between June 18-22 and Southampton will host the series. Before locking horns with England for a Test series, Team India will get a time for three weeks, for 20 days.

During the break period, Team India players can disperse, enjoy a holiday, and meet their friends and family. However, they should stay within the United Kingdom.

A source close to the BCCI said, the decision will help Team India players to refresh before heading to the Test series, as the players have visited the UK earlier too and have friends also.

Before heading to the UK, Team India skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri appeared for a press briefing. During the conference, Virat had batted for addressing the players' issue during the gap.

After the World Test Championship series with the black caps, the team India led by skipper Virat Kohli will play a Test series with the England team, for five tests.
