Many political bigwigs, who ruled the roost for decades, are now staring at tough times. The stars seem to be completely inauspicious and the time appears to be bad. Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Kejriwal, Mamta Banerjee, Kumaraswamy, Manmohan Singh, Sharad Pawar, Farooq Abdulla, Mahbuba Mufti, KCR and even Chandrababu Naidu are passing through tough times. The condition of Chandrababu, without doubt, is the worst of all.
He has lost power. His party is in doldrums. His son is proving to be ineffectual. He has no role for himself either in the state or at the Centre. Every step he is taking is leading him into abyss. Realising that antagonising the BJP was a very ill-timed move, he is now shamelessly trying to get pally with the very BJP he derided. He is desperate to get into the good books of the BJP again. But, the AP BJP seems to be unrelenting. It appears to be in no mood to forgive. It seems to target Chandrababu more than in-power YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The BJP leaders have on Sunday slammed Chandrababu and said that he had siphoned off thousands of crores in the name of the Amaravati capital construction as also in the name of Polavaram. They said the BJP could not grow in AP only because of the alliance with the TDP. Interestingly, these comments came a day after Chandrababu said at Vizag that the TDP suffered massive losses due to the confrontation with the Centre. The State also lost heavily due to this. He said the TDP should have adopted give and take approach vis-a-vis BJP. To send a clear message to Chandrababu, the AP BJP has strongly criticised Chandrababu and his decisions. Is the message clear to Chandrababu naidu?
