BJPs Open Door Policy Unnerves TDP
X
The BJP has opened up the gates fully to invite the leaders from other parties. This is BJP's way of strengthening the party in Andhra Pradesh. In fact, this is the quickest way to gain numbers and also strength. Big ticket leaders like Ram Madhav have taken upon themselves the task of bringing in leaders from other parties and are leading from the front. Already four Rajya Sabha MPs from the TDP have joined the BJP. Several key leaders of the Telugu Desam, including several former MLAs and those who enjoyed nominated positions during the Telugu Desam regime, have queued up to join the BJP. Several key leaders from Rayalaseema, including former MLA Varadapuram Suri are getting ready to don the saffron stole and join the BJP. Several others names are doing the rounds in political circles.

This Open Door policy of the BJP has completely unnerved the TDP. It is thoroughly demoralised and dispirited especially after its humiliating defeat in the elections. Now, its most trusted and loyal leaders are leaving the party in drones and the leadership is not sure who will stay and who will go. Every day, depressing news of desertions are coming from all quarters. Depressing scenario indeed for the TDP.
