Has the BJP national leadership sent unambiguous signals that however powerful, outsiders would not be trusted in the party? It appears so. The national leadership has clearly shown that it trusts only loyal party workers and would not give top posts to the leaders from outside.
In both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the party had given state president posts to loyal party workers like Somu Veerraju and Bandi Sanjay ignoring biggies like DK Aruna, Peddi Reddy, Purandeswari and others. The party clearly signaled that despite the past credentials and achievements, these are just outsiders. This 'mann ki baat' of the BJP national leadership has left these leaders in a quandary. Leaders like DK Aruna are even contemplating of leaving the BJP as they see no future for themselves.
The BJP national leadership , it appears, is not particularly bothered about these leaders and would not mind if these leaders leave the party. The party seems to believe that it does not need imports from other parties. 'In any case, most of these imports are spent forces,' said a senior BJP leader.
