BJP announces 6-member star campaigner list for Atmakur bypoll

The BJP, it appears, is taking the Atmakur bypolls quite seriously. The party has gone out the whole hog into the campaign for the bypoll. Party's co-convener for Andhra Pradesh Sunil Deodhar has already camped in Atmakur and is directing the campaign of the party. In addition, the party has also announced a campaign team comprising six high-profile leaders for Atmakur.
The Atmakur bypoll was necessitated due to the sudden demise of sitting MLA and industries minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy. The YSRCP has given the ticket to Gautham Reddy's brother Vikram Reddy. The Mekapati family has taken this election as a prestigious one and wants to post an impressive victory.

Film actress Jayaprada, former union minister Daggubati Purandeswari, national secretary Satyakumar, former state BJP chief Kanna Lakshminarayana, L Murugan and Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh are the members of the star campaigner team.
The BJP wants to improve its performance and put up a decent fight at Atmakur. The party has already begun a house-to-house contact programme to woo the voters. The party feels that anti-incumbency will help the party win a sizeable number of votes in Atmakur. The party has already begun reaching out to the voters in a big way.
