BJP candidate gets just one vote

Only one vote for the BJP? Does that mean that none except the candidate standing in the election, not even his family members voted for him? A BJP leader getting just one vote? The party is in power in the Centre and several states. But it got just a solitary vote? Sounds strange but true.
A BJP candidate in the local elections in Coimbatore polled just his vote. In the ward member elections in Periyanayakanpalem of Coimbatore district, BJP candidate Kartik got just one vote. His family members, who are four in number, did not vote for him. This has not become the talk of the town. Kartik perhaps will go down in history as the person who got just one vote.
Coimbatore is a BJP stronghold. The party had an MP from here in the past and he went on to become a Union Minister. Even now, party's young gun Vanathi Srinivasan is from Coimbatore city. She has defeated no less a person that actor and MNM chief Kamala Hasan. She was also the all India president of the youth wing of the BJP – the BJYM
