The BJP, it appears, is satisfied by its performance in the urbal local body elections in Telangana. The party feels that its vote percentage will rise significantly and it would perform creditably. The party strategists, who analysed the polling trends, is confident that the party would be able to win two Municipal Corporations and about 10 municipal councils. It will also win considerable number of seats across the state, they opine.

Interestingly, the party is expected to do creditably in areas where recent migrants to the party have worked hard. In places like Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Gadwal and other areas, where the party had tasted some recent successes in the Parliament elections, the party is said to be in the reckoninig for power. However, in places with senior party leaders like Warangal, Medak and Nalgonda, the party does not seem to have done all that well.

The BJP feels that it can become the second largest party after the TRS in the state and would give a tough fight to the BJP in the elections. The Congress, it feels, will be relegated to the third position in the state.
