Ex-Cricketer Receives BJP MP Ticket

Gautam Gambhir made his political entry by joining BJP. The Saffron Party fielded him as its candidate in East Delhi Constituency.
The Former Cricketer replaced BJP's Maheish Girri in East Delhi Segment. He will be fighting the battle against Congress candidate Arvinder Singh Lovely and AAP candidate Atishi.
Gambhir played cricket at the highest level for 15 years. Way back in 2014, Gambhir campaigned for Arun Jaitley’s victory in Amritsar but the BJP Leader failed to win. He was vocal about contemporary politics and terrorism. In fact, This Ex-Cricketer stressed the need to declare war against Pakistan after Pulwama Terror Attack.
The 37-Year-Old claims to have been influenced by PM Narendra Modi's. He believes politics is a great platform to serve the nation. Polling in Delhi will happen on May 12th, 2019.
