The Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing for a generational shift in Telangana. A crop of young leaders is being pushed ahead for 2023 elections and they are being groomed for bigger roles. While all other parties are persisting with their old leaders, the BJP seems to be the only party that is promoting young leaders in Telangana.

For Goshamahal, till now the fiefdom of Rajasingh, the party is looking to promote former minister Mukesh Goud's son Vikram Goud. With Rajasing planning to contest from Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituency, Vikram Goud, whose father was a five-time MLA, is being seen as the best choice. He has already honed his organizational skills by campaigning for the party in Dubbak and Huzurabad. He is also a permanent fixture in Bandi Sanjay's yatra.

Former home minister Devender Goud's son Veerender Goud is also nurturing the Uppal constituency. Though the party has a senior warhorse like NVSS Prabhakar, it could opt for a young Goud. BJP veteran Bandaru Dattatreya's daughter Vijayalakshmi is also being groomed for Amberpet assembly constituency. With G Kishan Reddy planning to fight from Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat, she will focus on Ambarpet.

Former union minister and BJP's Tiger Narendra's sons Ale Bhaskar and Ale Jitendra are also being projected in the old city part and Malakpet area of the city. In addition, another young leader Lankala Deepak Reddy is being groomed for Jubilee Hills, while young corporator T Srinivas Reddy is being prepared for Rajendranagar assembly constituency.
