BRS does not get invite to anti-BJP Bihar meet

It is now almost certain that despite all its anti-Modi rants and efforts to unite the opposition, the BRS has remained a political outcast. Neither the BJP nor the opposition parties are touching the BRS with even a barge poll. The BRS has not been extended an invitation to the June 12 meeting of the opposition parties, that would be held in Bihar's Patna.

The meeting has been called by Bihar chief minister and Janata Dal United chief Nitish Kumar. He has already extended invitation to several other political parties. But, he had not sent an invitation to the BRS. The opposition parties are viewing the BRS with a fair degree of suspicion. They feel that both the BRS and the AAP could backstab the opposition unity.

Sensing that it would not be getting the invite, the BRS has said that it was not going to be a party to the Patna meeting. Thus, KCR's political isolation at the national level is almost complete. The Congress has no trust in the BRS. Parties like the Trinamool and the Samajwadi Party are suspicious of the intentions of the BRS. They feel the BRS is acting at the behest of the BJP.

Interestingly, talking to media, KTR said that his party did not have any trust or faith in the third or fourth front politics. In fact, it is KCR who first talked about the federal front as an anti-BJP and anti-Congress forum. Now the same BRS is speaking against it. It is also clear now that the BRS is not making much headway in Maharashtra or even neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, let alone Karnataka and Odisha.
