Till recently, he was a local leader whose footprint was limited only to Karimnagar town. Later, he became an MP in an upset victory. He was slowly trying to extend his footprint to the whole district. At that stage, he was suddenly catapulted to the state leadership. Today, he is the Telangana state president. For Bandi Sanjay, the real test is yet to begin.
Upcoming six months are said to be very crucial for Bandi Sanjay. He has to prove his worth in these six months. A spate of elections in this period will decide whether Bandi Sanjay is a hero or zero. With the notification for Dubbak bypoll just a fortnight away and the GHMC polls a couple of months away, Bandi Sanjay has to work hard to ensure a creditable performance for the BJP. In addition, there is also the election to the Graduates constituency, in which the BJP will contest both the seats. In addition, Warangal civic body polls too would be held at around the same time.
Bandi Sanjay is said to be touring all these areas and is holding meetings with the key leaders in all these areas. He is said to have planned out a strategy for the elections. He is said to have decided to appoint seven zonal presidents for the GHMC for better results. He has also succeeded in mobilizing party workers for street fighters unlike earlier presidents.
But, at the end of the day, it is the electoral results that matter. He knows that his political future would depend on the party performance.
