In a spine-chilling incident, a Hindu tailor was brutally murdered inside his shop in broad daylight. The accused recorded a video after the gruesome incident and said that they are behind the attack. The incident triggered a wide range of protests and forced the government to impose a curfew as a precautionary measure.

The shocking incident was reported from the Congress-ruled Rajasthan. Tension gripped the royal city of Udaipur with the murder of the shopkeeper who was identified as Kanhaiya Lal. Two Muslim men carried out the murder and even threatened to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Reports say that the attack is linked to Bharatiya Janata Party's suspended spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Not happy with the victim standing in solidarity with Nupur Sharma, the accused targeted him and killed him.

It has been reported that one of the two accused beheaded the victim while the other accused filmed the attack. The cops say that they got the video and after a detailed investigation they will get more information.

The BJP and Congress started attacking each other on the murder. The saffron party BJP is coming down severely against the grand old Congress party for failing to control the law and order in the city.

Nupur Sharma's comments against the Islamic religious leader prophet Muhammad did not go well with Muslims, opposition parties, and the Islamic nations as well. Many Arab nations condemned Nupur Sharma's comments and sought an explanation from India.

With this, the BJP swung into action and removed Nupur Sharma as the official spokesperson of the party. The opposition parties and Muslim parties like Hyderabad-based All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen(AIMIM) found fault with what Nupur Sharma said about Prophet and demanded her arrest. A few cases were filed against her.

The Union Home Ministry said that the case was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for investigation. The Ministry said the investigation will be carried out thoroughly.

"MHA has directed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to take over the investigation of the brutal murder of Shri Kanhaiya Lal Teli committed at Udaipur, Rajasthan yesterday. The involvement of any organisation and international links will be thoroughly investigated," the Ministry said.
