CM Did Not Let His Fatherâs Memorial Stop Beautification Drive!

Leaders coming from political families see the memorials of their family members as political sentiments. But a Chief Minister stunned everyone by ordering the dismantling of the memorial of his father to see that the memorial will not become an obstacle to the development of the city.
Going into details, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ordered the dismantling of the memorial of his father so that more space will be used for the beautification Swargadwar crematorium. A senior bureaucrat is said to have revealed this at a meeting.
Patnaik's private secretary V K Pandian, who has been working with him for a long time attended the Odia Diaspora in Dubai on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering he revealed this and said that Naveen Patnaik told him his father lives in people's hearts and his memorial won't need a big place.
Pandian went on to say that he showed the beautification plan of the crematorium to the chief minister and he found that the place where his father, the former Chief Minister of Odisha Biju Patnaik's memorial was present there was a big vacant place.
Pointing out the place, the Chief Minister said that his father's memorial can be dismantled and a small plaque took its place. His family members also supported this and what the Chief Minister did is winning hearts.
Naveen Patnaik always gets ranked among the top five performing Chief Ministries in the country. He is a man of action and not words. Now another reason why he is different from others came out.
